Pocket PCs (the Windows-running ones) will not work with any Macintosh unless you use some hacks or special software of some sort. A Newton would probably run with an iMac as long as its software would install on it (OS 8-9 only) and you have a serial to USB adapter (you can get one with two ports for about $40; Keyspan is probably the most well-known seller of these). Other than a Newton or Palm, Sharp's Linux-running PDA's, which seem really neat, work with Macs (I think). There's not a lot of software out for them yet, but for simple PDA functions, it offers things in the way of screen quality and memory that a Newton won't (and you won't have to buy an adapter).
