generic laptop CD drives will work, but with one major drawback - you won't
be able to boot your iMac from a CD.  Otherwise it will function normally.
If you have to spend $200 anyway for a new one, you might as well get one of
the new MCE internal CDRW drives made just for the tray-loading iMacs.  They
are bootable, and you get a CD burner as well.
