CAS2 is indeed more expensive than CAS3, but if you put in several CAS2 modules you Mac will be more responsive than if you use CAS3, it's not like a 50% increase, just a few %. IF you have slower RAM in your Mac and put in a CAS2 module, the Mac will program the RAM controller at boot according to the slowest DIMM, so if you want to take advantage of CAS2 make sure all your DIMMS (or just one) you have in your Mac are CAS2. * * -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
