Older versions of Pagemaker are available on ebay, or the swap list.
If you buy an older version and use Adobes transfer of ownership
document, available at Adobes web site, this will transfer ownership
to you and provide a less expensive way to upgrade to the current
version..
Make sure the seller is willing to write a note with the
version number and stating he is transferring the registration number
and all rights of the software to you, signs it and sends it to you
along with Adobes transfer form..
You can also call Adobe to make sure this software has not
been upgraded by the present owner. if it has you may legally own
the version the seller is sending, but may have lost the upgrade
path.
A little work but a way to legally own, upgrade and save a lot of money.
