I believe that Acrobat Reader 5.x is the latest
version and therefore probably the one for X.  I use
OS9 a lot -- I discovered that Acrobat Reader 5 just
wouldn't open most .pdf files from the Internet (using
Microsoft Explorer 5.x as browser). When I replaced it
with Acrobat Reader 4, it worked like a dream and
continues to do so.
