The Missing Manual or Mac OS X For Dummies (both are by the same person!) are probably the best books on the subject for a "normal" (non-power) user. Robin Williams' Mac OS X Book is another good resource. Head down to your local OmniBookMegaPlex seller and thumb through each of them and see which one appeals to you most. It may even be possible to read some of each book at Amazon or the publishers' websites without having to even leave the house (ain't techology wonderful!). :) "Unleashed" and "Killer Tips" are for advanced use.
