I have a 15" FP iMac, with an internal modem. When I boot it into OS 9, I can complete a dial-up connection to my ISP. When the iMac was new (for about 2 months) I could also connect while the computer was booted into OS X 10.2.4
Starting at about 2 months after purchase, without warning and for an unknown reason, the modem will dial the phone (I can hear it through the speaker) but does not make any connection. The dialup phone number I' using is the same in both OS 9 and OS X. Can anyone tell me why it behaves this way, and what to do to again be able to connect in OS X?
