Question: Is there some technical specification which noted, in the absence of
some nifty little smiley-mac-face logo, would convey that it is (or is not)
compatible with Jaguar?
Technically speaking, ANY usb modem should work with Mac OS 8.6 and up. However, in order for it to work it will need a driver. Not every company bothers to write a driver for Mac. Ergo, some USB modems won't work.
Bottom line: buy a USB modem that offers Mac compatibility on the box.
