I have the same situation with my imac DV400 with an external burner. I think the Roxio Toast extension conflicts with the Disc Burner extension. You can try disabling the Toast extension and then seeing if Disc burner will work. I haven't tried it myself; I've just been using Toast for my burning needs. (That sounds a bit risque, doesn't it?)
