I use Toast to burn with my external drive. Is your LaCie connected and turned on before you launch the software? If so, there is a drop down menu to choose your drive in the Toast software. You need the Toast CD reader and the Apple CD/DVD extension turned on and I think the Disc Burner must be off, but I don't know. I trashed it a long time ago. I think it's a conflict culprit, but just my opinion. I really like Toast, maybe you need a software update? Have you checked Roxio's site to see if there is one?

It looks like if "Disc Burner" searched de CD in the
internal drive (that only reads CD as you can suppose) and has no idea there
is another drive connected. Is there anything I can do to burn with "Disc
Burner"?
As a second question: is there any good freeware/shareware to burn CDs?
Thanks in advance,
Aris
