iMac DVD 400, slotloader G3 with OS 10.1.5 and OS 9.2.1

I had my first kernel panic yesterday, but managed to get the system up
again by reinstalling both OS9 and OSX. Now, when I check my startup disk,
I find I have two of each system to choose from - which seems a bit
excessive.

I would like to get rid of - trash - the extra versions of these systems
that I won't be using, however:

If I trash these extra versions of OS9 and OSX, will I be opening a big
can of worms - getting into an even worse situation? Never having done this
before, I would appreciate feedback and advice. Thank you.

Zippy
