It is my opinion that the G-List is too over crowded with 32-bit G3/4 users to handle further boosts in traffic caused by G5 discussion. If Dan wants to 'cash in' on G5 discussions he needs a 64-bit List :)
Well everyone is entitled to their opinion and in general that is one thing that I have enjoyed about Dan's work and the lists. Yes you could try to start a new list but the amount of work, time, money and pure gut it out toughness that Dan has produced is rarely seen these days and your probably a dime short and a dollar to late to really make an impact. No offense meant to your capabilities, I am sure your successful at what you do and maybe you have a spare million to throw at the web. Plus the spare time to work on it and maybe you would succeed.
Some people have been here a long time and take a dim view of doing something that may splinter the list. So do not take the comments against starting another list as an attack, at least from me, it is in support of Dan and the hard work he has done to bring the Mac community together. Maybe your idea will fly,but that's Dan's choice on which way to go..
The amount of information that has been compiled here is phenomenal, the depth of that information and the reliability is unsurpassed. This type of work Dan does not just happen, you can not just" build it and they will come." This is the work of a Man dedicated to finding a way to make his web business work, one way or the other, honestly and with the drive that make pioneers successful and people supportive of those pioneer's.
