I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but the 15" comes with a Combo drive, which is a CD writer, and DVD reader.

I have 15" 800mhz iMac (2002) and I've been burning DVD's all weekend...=P

I stand corrected. I should have qualified that with "Among the current product line..." That's good though, maybe I wasn't the bearer of bad tidings after all.
You can't do it through the web store. But, if you phone the Apple Store, they will do a superdrive in the 15" as a BTO option. The "catch" is a super drive equipped, custom 15", costs more than the bottom of the line 17" with a superdrive.
