Toast 6 also allows for burning of password-protected encrypted CDs that can be opened on other Macs that don't have Toast loaded. (page 41 of the manual)

If it works as advertised, the just-released Toast 6 could make many of the freeware video apps obsolete. There are settings for VCD, DVD and (finally!) SVCD. And there's an improved built-in video converter they claim will convert any video file readable by Quicktime to VCD-, SVCD- or DVD-compliant MPEG. There are rudimentary menu/button options for video discs now, too, along with other new bells & whistles like the ability to burn a DVD straight from a DV camcorder. Definitely worth looking into!
I have personally seen toast 6 burn a divx avi file as a svcd.
However, it was 1:28 minutes long and I have no idea if the SVCD DVD worked or not.
