When you're installing OS X and 9.2 on an iMac. Do you istall the 9.2 first on it's own partition and the "X" on another? and in that order??? This a Rev "D" we're talking about...
If it's the original 6 Gig drive ...
9 first and then use software update to make sure that your 9 is completely updated. Then X and use the software update to get the complete updates.
Not necessary to put the 2 OSs on separate partitions unless you have some special reason for doing so.
If it's a bigger drive, then that might be a different story.
