When you're installing OS X and 9.2 on an iMac. Do you istall the 9.2 first on it's own partition and the "X" on another?
No, that would be silly.
Either put OS X on the FIRST partition if you mac is old enough to require that, or else don't partition your disk.
Yes, others will tell you all about the magic and wonder of partitioning, but lemme tell you, for 99.999% of people, partitioning is a silly waste at best and a royal pain in the ass most of the time.
