Strange I could have sworn someone said it was a beta, oh well, it's a damn good Alpha - I'll give me that.
Since then I got fed up with the stupid Panther WWDC and returned my iMac
400 DV to OS 9.2.2
As it said right on the jacket of the CD, "this OS is not to be used on production machines or drives that contain any data you value." (or words to that effect)
Yeah, yeah tell it to the next man ;)
Seriously though I don't use BETA OSs for that very reason. I foolishly *tried* to use Panther for more than 5 mins and suffered the consequences (thankfully on stuff that was backed up around 3 times) just because i was fooled into thinking the WWDC Preview was very stable. Just goes to show - an ALPHA releases of OS X still crashes less than Windows 98!
