Subject: USB networking two imacs?

I need to connect two iMacs together using a usb cable to transfer some
files.

Not going to happen. To the best of my knowledge, there is no Mac-Mac USB linking.

You can use Ethernet or Firewire to accomplish the networking, and it'll be a heck of a lot faster as well.
