Hi, Just to tell the group that the problem with my dead new iMac was a bad RAM DIMM,, the really good thing is that Apple gave me an entirely new computer like an apology for the issue! Everything is just working cool now...

If it's new (ordered before October 8th) you are entitled to a free copy of 10.3 Panther. If I were you I'd ring up Apple and say 'Number 1 I want a Copy of 10.3' and 'Number 2 my iMac is playing up'.
