Am I the only one who believed that when I enabled the "Fast User
Switching"
on my newly installed copy of OS X 10.3 that it would turn around like
the
picture shows on the Apple web site?

And indeed it does exactly that -- IF you are on a machine that takes advantage of Quartz Extreme.


The functionality works fine on other machines, but the "cube" effect apparently requires lotsa video RAM. Apple sez that Quartz Extreme requires at a minimum 16MB in a ATI Radeon card. That means, for example, that all CRT iMacs can't take advantage of it.
