The functionality works fine on other machines, but the "cube" effect apparently requires lotsa video RAM. Apple sez that Quartz Extreme requires at a minimum 16MB in a ATI Radeon card. That means, for example, that all CRT iMacs can't take advantage of it.
How they can have the bare-faced cheek to specify a Radeon as a minimum when the least capable QE enabled card they installed in a Mac is obviously a GeForce 2 MX ;)
I know the u sed 8MB and 16MB Radeons in the early Powerbooks then in the iBook, but as a direct comparison the Radeon 7000 in my G3/400 (66MHz PCI) is faster than the AGP 2x GeForce 2MX in my iMac G4. Go figure!
