I'm in the process of changing ISPs and following the instructions on
the lowendmac website, I sent an email to subscribe my new address to
this list. How long does it take the server to reply?

It usually replies instantly.

I just now tried sending a blank message to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" to subscribe myself to the "Linux and BSD on Macs" list, and got a "confirmation request" reply instantly. I replied to the reply and again instantly got a reply saying that I was on the list.

If you're using anti-spam filtering software you might want to check that it didn't send the confirmation request to your spam folder.

Nope. Just plain vanilla Eudora. All my other lists worked ok; just the maclaunch ones won't respond.
