I have a very hard time understanding that a semi-serious magazine like Macworld would choose an outdated application (Adobe Premiere) as a benchmark at all. On the other hand, I would look around for other tests too, like this one: <http://www.barefeats.com/pentium4.html> where the G5 Beats both Dual Athlons, Dual Xeons and a P4 in 5 out of 6 tests. And not to forget: <http://www.top500.org/> where the 1100 Apples of Virginia Tech easily beat - among others, a 1450 machine Dell PowerEdge 1750 Dual processor-cluster - and all, like in every single one of them - all other AMD or Intel-based supercomputers.
