Isn't this an inherent problem with application-specific benchmarks across
platforms -- to what extent are Premiere for Mac and Premiere for Windows
the same application?

That's not a rhetorical question; I don't know the answer. I'm thinking of
apps like Internet Explorer, where the Windows and Mac versions have AFAIK
little in common but the name.
