Here's the "problem": I'm sure that I'd be able to get at least a couple hundred for the PB and all that I have for it (extra drives, original system CD, blah blah), as long as I can bring myself to part with it.

Yep.

Then there's the iMac. What do I do with it? I've posted a couple times on here about its issues, namely it's inability to get on the internet since it refuses to recognize it's internal modem. Yes, I know that I can use the internet via the ethernet connection on broadband, but that is not an option right now, and I don't know when it will become one. I assume that since I've tried more than one internal modem, that this is a logic board issue, and can only be fixed by replacing the board, am I wrong?

Kyle can answer that better than I can, but having a "dead" modem is not necessarily a handicap. A lot of us use broadband and rarely/never need fax so such a defect would not be an issue with us.

I suppose there are other things I could do with it, but would it really be worth just keeping around?
Any suggestions/advice?

I would make an excellent gift to any school, since it's only real defect is a modem and the school wouldn't be interested in that anyway. Many such gifts are tax-deductible.

You could also check with your local Mac shop about arranging a "swap" of the machine for future services (you won't get much cash from them for it, but they might agree to several hundred $$ in future services in exchange for a good parts machine).

Finally, you could donate it to your local MUG as a "check-in" machine.
