Funny. I have a G3/400 PowerMac that's been so solid and reliable that it probably deserves a medal. I've also got 68ks and early PowerMacs that are still rollin' and cost me next to nothing (I rescued 4 Macs off the dump yesterday).


I have noticed the G3 iMac has a high failure rate. Maybe that is because there are a lot of them, who knows. I think Apple swayed too much towards cost-effective and not enough towards quality when they were building them, which is a shame as they should be nice machines.

Dana - don't let your iMac experience colour your view of all Macs. I know being disappointed by an expensive product damages your relationship with a company (I know a few others in the same camp).
