LCD Screen Dark Spot

I woke my 15" G4 iMac up from sleep about 5 minutes ago to find there 
was a dark patch in the top-left of the screen covering about 1/4 of 
the screen area. It's almost gone now, it sort of faded in slowly, but 
it's a bit disturbing all the same. I've also found there is a mild 
inconsistency between the color at the top and the bottom of the 
screen, but it's hardly noticeable unless you a hardened CRT user and 
photo/graphics editor like me. Anyone else had this issue?

The room is cold, anything to do with it?
