By the way, Claire... about cost...  Your Canon S800 is surely using 
very expensive color ink cartridges.  Keep in mind that you might end 
up using $20 worth of ink, to output a 5-foot long banner, in full 
color, on flimsy paper. Combine that with the shabbiness of 
pasted-together quality, and you might decide that an additional $20 to 
get it printed professionally on poster paper is worth your time and 
money.
