Additionally you should be able to select OS 9 ...click the arrow beside in the disk in the startup contol panel.....on the DW disk and have your G3 boot into 9......
In any event that is what your computer is doing....

However, I can't boot up off the Disk Warrior CD. I put the CD in and pick the disk from the control panel as the start up disk and restart - and I get a white screen w/grey apple logo - with the gear spinning and spinning. I have to unplug the Imac from the wall to get it restarted.
