Since moving to Panther (I think it was OK under Jaguar, but I may be mistaken), it has happened quite a few times that on sending Word files in attachment while using Apple Mail.app, the person at the other (Windoze) end has not been able to open the document.
I have checked the various settings that are available in Mail.app (why didn't Apple come up with a better name, iMail perhaps?) and I couldn't find anything to solve the issue.
I'm not sure if it is OS X icon resources, some form of compression or whatever (I send the Word file as it is, actually), but they just seem unable to open the file.
Anyone knows of a remedy? - I have no alternative but to send Word files to Windows people, before drastic suggestions are put forward...
Thanks,
Walter
