read where 10.3 might lose my info on a Hard Drive with a Oxford Chip in it.. Once 10.3.2 is loaded is it then safe to connect the fire wire Oxford Chip Hard Disk and use it ? Geoff
That was a problem with FW800 drives and the Oxford chips. Either way, 10.3.2 fixes things. FWIW, I have a portable drive in OWC case and two different FW desktop drives and they all worked fine without any firmware upgrades on both my TiBook and my wife's Pismo.

Thanks all, somewhere along the line I thought the pismo was a 4 pin. Looking closer I see 3 on top of the cable and 3 on the bottom make 6 and USB is backward capable Minds greater then mine knew this. So looks like the mini iPods will work.
