Hey folks, Just got a new iBook for my daughter and have been setting it up for her. It came with an airport card. So I turned on the airport, saw network right away no worries. very speedy little thing. My powerbook was also on airport and the eMac was tethered by ethernet to the Belkin router which is connected to the cable modem.
As soon as the iBook was online the eMac internet connection stalled. Says no server found. PB was fine, still surfing. Now the eMac wont do the internet unless the iBooks airport is turned off. Have to unplug every thing and restart to get internet to work again on eMac But eMac works fine on the internet with just powerbook. Everytime I turn on the iBook airport, eMac internet goes down. Powerbook 867, 15', works great with airport w/ or w/o iBook surfing the net but the eMac stalls with the iBook everytime. Tried no PB,just iBook and eMac, same thing. No go with eMac internet connection. eMac will not share internet with iBook, but still shares with PB just fine. Why? Since my daugther wants to be able to come over and use my cable setup I would like this to work. iBook is 900 mhz brand new. a great deal from microcenter. Any ideas?
