Hmmm...you may have reached the extent of my knowledgebase....

perhaps you could do a search for other appleworks preference files on your computer and remove them and restart Appleworks to see if that might help....

not clear about your question to regarding the reappearance of a new plist file....it does soudn curious which prompted my previous comment....perhaps ther is more than one .....just a thought......

OK, I deleted appleworks.plist, then rebooted and restarted appleworks, and even saved the Preferences again...but no new appleworks.plist has appeared.
Is that bad? Should I care? Should I drag the old version from the trash?
What should I do, if anything?

p.s. I repaired permissions a day ago so didn't think it necessary to do again. right? wrong?

I did the update and found it to be vast improvement in performance, etc.....so far rock solid on my setup.

For some weird reason, appleworks on our flatpanel iMac keeps crashing. Not consistently, or at certain times or levels of activity, but as often as once a day. I just downloaded and installed the latest update, hoping that would stabilize the little beast, but it crashed again last night while my wife was working on an important database.

Any help, suggestions, fixes?
