Howdy folks,

Odd question for you. You know how you might insert an audio CD and use iTunes 4.2 (running 10.3.2) to access the CDDB library? The audio CD is identified in iTunes, and, kindly, on the desktop.

Now, when I restart, and leave the CD in the drive, when it appears on the desktop, it's identified as a generic "Audio CD" again - this has happened more than once, right now it's "Apollo 18" from They Might Be Giants, but that's neither here nor there. Strangely, iTunes still has all of the relevant information for the CD - all the tracks are identified, etc.

I don't recall this behavior under Jaguar (or, obviously, 9). I should mention that I have moved the iTunes Music folder to the Shared folder to, somewhat obviously, share one folder with the other user of the iMac. However, I'm at a loss as to why the Finder would have trouble and not iTunes from such a move.

Anyone else experiencing this behavior and have a solution?

Thanks,
Rich
