iMacs don't have any internal expansion slots (other than the Airport slot, but I'm pretty sure the only thing you can put in there is a wireless network card) so if you want to add a TV tuner, you'll need to do it using an external device, and the USB or FireWire Ports. I've never heard of a cable modem that had a built in TV tuner that could broadcast TV over Ethernet, but that sure would be cool!
