White, Green, Orange, White is the symptom of a failed flyback 
transformer.  Could be coincidental... $100 repair if you pull the 
analog board and send it off. (http://www.microdocusa.com)

I have recently began to upgrade my RAM.  I ordered RAM through 
technowarehouse.  At first I added a 256MB mod to the upper slot, my 
RAM then equaling 288MB.  Everything was fine.  I later tried today to 
add another 256MB to the lower slot.  Everything seemed fine, but when 
I tried to turn on the computer the start button turned orange and the 
computer acted as if it was asleep.  So I opened it up and switched 
the places of the memory card and tried to start again, same result.  
Finally, I took out one 256MB card leaving one in the lower slot and 
added the 32MB card to the upper slot and restarted my computer and it 
worked fine.  I figured it was bad RAM and shortly received a 
replacement.  So i again tried to add the new 256 mod.  No luck, the 
start button turned orange and the computer looked asleep.  I tried 
every available combination, and even returned to the original RAM I 
had previously and the computer refuses to start.  Can anyone help me 
out of this quagmire.  I am exceedingly frustrated and worried that my 
iMac has seen its last days.
