Bill,

I'm using AW 6.2.7 on Panther. Jack mentioned that 6.2.7 is for OS9 and 6.2.9 is for OSX, but I have Panther and am using 6.2.7. I was thinking that it was rather something like 6.2.5 for 9 and 6.2.7 for X, but that was a few months ago...

Thanks,
Claire

In AppleWorks, you have the option to save a word processing document
as a Word document.

What Appleworks version are you using? I'm using v. 6.0.4 and can't find
that feature or the PDF feature. 6.0.4 does offer RTF as a file option; does
M$ Word read RTF?

Bill,
I have A'works 6.2.7, and it has the PDF feature. You have to
apparently be running OSX, but when you tell it to print, it asking in
the print window if you want to save as a pdf.
Kris

Download the free upgrade from Apple. AW 6.2.7 is for OS9 and AW 6.2.9
is for OS X. Both include the ability to save as M$ Word or Excel. The
"Save as PDF" from the print window is a feature of OSX. If you're
using OS 9 it does not offer it.
