I can hear a very slight amount of hiss on my 15" 800m I've only noticed it lately, but its so slight that it could have been there the whole time. and this is with my audio midi setup set to put sound through a seperate firewire device and I have no hiss through that path and thats bypassing the internal sound card. One thing you could try if you haven't already is turn down your main output on your keyboard and turn up the volume slider in itunes and even the gain in your eq setting and see if that at least buries the hiss when your listening to music. Maybe its an extenal device thats plugged in to the mac causing interference ? Or bad shielding of the sound card from other components inside ? Eventhow the intenal sound cards in macs aren't the highest quality, their shouldn't be audible hiss at moderate levels, that makes me think its bad shielding inside.
