Hi, I was wondering if someone could help me figure out something. I had a bondi-blue imac that
died recently. I purchased a firewire hard drive enclosure, into which I put my 40 gb hard drive from
the dead imac. I then hooked it up to my son's 500 mhz snow iMac and was pleased when I could
then read the hard drive that had been in the bondi blue. However, I can't find my old emails or my
old address book that were on the original hard drive.
When I click on the mail program on the drive that mounts from the bondi blue's hard drive, it opened up with
the same mail history as the snow iMac currently has. The same thing with the address book. Any body know
what happened to the old emails and email addresses? They seemed to have disappeared or been
overwritten with the snow's program. Am I out of luck finding all this stuff? Thanks for sharing your
expertise.

You don't say whether you're in OS X or OS9?

You should be able to import the mailboxes to the 500 MHz iMac by using the "import mailboxes"command from the file menu and selecting the external drives mail.app as the source.
