I have used Safari Selection to Mail Message available at http://homepage.mac.com/jonn8/as/
IIRC, it can place the text that you select at a web page and poke it and the current URL for that page as well. Safari does not seem to have a built in "email this URL to a friend" kind of button that I have seen in other browsers.
