>>> What is dual boot???? You are correct, dual boot refers to the earlier Macs that still could choose either os9 or osX to physically boot into. The latest models for the last year or so (maybe longer), can only boot in osX and run legacy apps through classic (which works pretty well if you have enough ram).
My decision to purchase our latest Imac for home a my ibook was based on the systems to dual boot since I run Virtual PC 5 that will not work in Classic (VP6 does, but since MS took it over it is a real dog on speed). By the way, I purchased a 500 mhz G3 Imac from ebay with firewire, CDRW for about $300 (Indigo in color), and I run everything, full Adobe apps, Macromedia apps, video editing, etc. and it works fine. The only draw back I can see is in gaming, where the new Halo (we heard about this mac game, what 6-7 years ago?) and similar games practically require a G5, 1.5 Gigs ram, video card w/ 128 mb etc. The little Imac G3 will never be playing the latest games.
