Hi, I just bought some used ram on ebay to upgrade
a 500 Mhz SE iMac. The guy had it in his 400 Mhz iMac.
I bought both his Apacer 256 MB pc100 chip and a NCP 512
MB pc133 chip. Then I got an email from somebody who told me
that I should not mix these two speeds,as the slower one
will keep the faster one from running at top speed and who thenoffered
to buy one of the chips off of me. Is this guy correct? Is it bad to mix ram speeds?
I presently have 2- 128 chips, but I don't know their speed. What do
you experts suggest I do? I was planning on using both the
512 and the 256, and selling or holding onto the 2- 128s. Thanks.
Lauren
