Hey Folks,
My hard drive is clicking, more often than not and of course I am getting the question mark at startup. My question is, has anyone done any tricks to remedy this problem. From what I remember the clicking is a sticking problem of the read and write head.
Anything like getting heating the drive up or cooling it down? What about taking off the top plate of the drive and.....? I know taking off the top plate is taboo but all my info is lost as it is now anyway.
Any suggestions will be appreciated and thanks.
Back it up immediately, and replace the drive with a new one. -- Sincerely, Dennis B. Swaney
