I've officially decided that my next apple related investment will be in the form of the new G5 iMacs.

I cannot afford the G5 PowerMacs.

I wish I could but my Apple loan limit is $2500 and that will cover the iMac nicely, but not a 2.0GHz Dual G5 PowerMac, with ram, display, accessories etc...

Anyone else plan on buying the next incarnation of the iMac?

My current Mac line-up goes as follows:

eMac, 1.25GHz, 768MB RAM, 40GB HDD, Combo Drive, OS 10.3.4

B&W G3/450, OC'ed @ 500MHz, 512MB RAM, Two(2) 40GB HDD, DVD-ROM, OS 10.3.4

PowerMac 6500 225MHz, 96MB RAM, 40GB HDD, 12X CD-ROM, OS 9.2.2 (with OS9Helper)

PowerBook 540c 33MHz, 32MB RAM, 500MB HDD, 4X External CD-ROM, OS 8.1

In the past I've owned a PB100, PB160, SE/30, LCII, Apple IIgs, Apple Pippin

So totally I think that an iMac would fit my plethora of Macs. Additionally I wouldn't have to invest in another screen, or find screen space on my desk if I get an iMac (that is assuming that the next iMac is not going to be headless.) Is it also safe to assume that the next iMac is going to be in the same ballpark price range as the last one? I hope so! It would really suck if they made no distinction between the new iMac and a PowerMac G5!
