Thanks for the info.  Unfortunately, $99 for that is just plain crazy, when
for $25-$50 more I could just by a new all-in-one scan/copy/fax/print
machine.  In fact, I just looked at some on eBay as low as $35, plus $30
shipping.  I didn't buy one because they were Hewlett Packard, and their ink
refills are outrageously priced, so I avoid HP (and Lexmark) products all
together.  I'll stick to Brother, Epson or Canon.  I can get those inks for
anywhere from 99 cents to $5 each.

So, I guess the freebie Canon all-in-one shall remain a stand-alone fax
machine and copier.  I really wanted it so I could fax multiple pages
without the hassle of scanning each page.  The Mac is fine for faxing docs
from within Word, etc., or for receiving, but a pain with sending faxes from
actual paper...

*sigh*....
