I just picked up a "Flower Power" iMac 500 from a auction. It had everything but a hard drive. I installed a WD 40 GB HD and am trying to install OS 9.1 from a bootable CD. For some reason, the computer doesn't seem to want to boot from the CD. I have tried every pin combination on the HD that there is. To be honest, I am not even sure if the CD drive is IDE or SCSI. There is no power cable attached to it, and the cable that connects to it has 50 pins. Is there a secret to getting one of these things to boot and install?

Thanks--

Kevin
