I am trying to help a friend with their broken iMac. I know that it is a Revision A or B, it is running OS X 10.2, and might have a memory upgrade.
This is the problem that they described. it froze two weeks ago, then when i would restart it via the small restart button it stops in the middle (on gray apple screen) all noise and the little "progress wheel" stop and at the same time a big line of "snow" appears and with a smaller one below it too- i finally got it to completely start up yesterday but the screen was frozen and couldn't move arrow- tried connecting mouse directly via USB in case of loose connection but it didn't help Does any one have any suggestions? -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
