Hi PJ,

Likely the largest internal drive that the iMac can take is a 128GB
(or 137gb depending on how many bytes you define as being in a
gigabyte) due to the 48-bit ceiling on earlier IDE controllers.

As for the modem, probably could find a third-party modem?  I know
there are G3 iMac modems out there for sale.
