I recently got a 1999 iMac DV SE that has a 12GB Maxtor hard drive. Anyone know what the largest drive can be installed?
Yes. The iMac will only be able to "see" 128GB, so for practical reasons the largest drive you would want to put in there would be a 120GB.
And also, the internal 56K modem does not work. Is it replaceable? Thanks for any info.
I doubt it's replaceable, but there are two workarounds:
1. Get highspeed cable or DSL. No modem involved.
2. There is at least one USB modem that works with Macs. Google "USB modem Mac."
