Nope, I can guarantee you that is in no way shape or form the case! But as a matter of practice, desktop Hard Drives should never be moved while in operation.


I stored my Pismo PowerBook for several months in my laptop bag upright, so that the Pismo was on its side. Then it wouldn't start up, I thought my storage position had killed it! It revived after being plugged in overnight and I succumbed to the practice of naming a mac: "Lazarus" was reborn!

Someone on the list referred to the new G5 iMac as an iPod on steroids. It's interesting that Jonathan Ive the designer has said about both that they are designed to seem as if they weren't designed at all.

So far, I find it interesting how radically different the three iMac form factors have been.
I really hope both Jobs and Ive have many. many more years of productive contributions ahead of them.
